Funded Grants/Contracts:

  • Fielding Graduate University Office of the Provost (2008) to work with 8 graduate students/alums in study of What Therapists Learn from their Psychotherapy Clients. A book is forthcoming and 4 dissertations completed and in progress.
  • Fielding Graduate University research Grant to Study Midlife, mid-career graduate students with 14 student research assistants, 1/2006-7/2007. This work was presented as a research colloquium at the Psychology Summer Session, 2007 and has resulted in two dissertations.
  • The Fielding Graduate Institute Provost Research Grants: March, 2000 and March, 2001 for a study of Therapist Empathy. A published article and two dissertations resulted.
  • Office of the Vice President for Research, the University of Michigan; (1993 - 94). Supported research for book: Peer Programs on the College Campus: Theory, Research and the Voice of the Peers; for transcription and coding of 120 interviews & for support staff.
