Crossroads

InfoSystems, is pleased to present Tutoring Foundations,
a comprehensive, self-paced, on-line tutor training developed with, and
approved by Fielding Graduate University and the National
Tutoring Association (NTA).
At completion of this course, students may receive Continuing
Education Units offered by Fielding Graduate University and/or certification,
offered by the National Tutoring Association (details below). Graduates
of "Tutoring Foundations" wishing to
apply for CEUs should complete this form.
The course topics cover all the
skills and philosophical understanding required to tutor students of any
age level in a variety of situations and includes:
- Individual mentoring from an NTA Advanced or Master
Tutor
- On-going review and feedback by course mentors
- A final interview conducted by phone
This course requires the following:
- A personal computer with internet access at a minimum
56K dial-up
- Approximately 45 - 60 hours of study
- $349 fee, payable in advance, major credit cards accepted
Successful completion of this
course qualifies students to:
- Receive six CEUs granted by Fielding Graduate University
($60 fee, Bachelor's Degree or higher also requisite). Graduates wishing
to apply
for CEUs should complete this form.
- Apply for Basic Tutor Certification from the National
Tutoring Association (AA or AS Degree requisite)
A specially priced $99 application package includes:
- Processing fee to review academic and personal
references
- Criminal background check
- One year NTA membership (may be added to existing
membership)
