Forum on Ukraine: Fielding SPCL Community Held A Meeting With A Focus On The Impact Of Events In Ukraine

Fielding’s Somatics, Phenomenology, and Communicative Leadership (SPCL) community of practice held a Forum on Ukraine on March 25, 2022. The SPCL community of practice is a scholar-practitioner learning and collaborative virtual space hosted by Fielding core faculty Dr. Valerie Bentz and alum Dr. Bart Buechner. The Forum’s guests included Krzysztof Konecki, Professor of Sociology and Business Management, Malgorzata Burchard-Dziubinska, Professor of Economics, and Doctoral student Dagmara Tiarsiuk of University of Lodz, Poland. Aiden Hirshfield, PhD Media Psychology Program alum Aiden Hirshfield, Ph.D.’19, is the 2022 recipient of the Dianne Kipnes Social Innovation Award. The Award will partially fund his project, Providing Critical Support for ASL Interpreters in the Mental Health Setting. The project goals are to support and offer additional educational opportunities to American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters who face considerable occupational stress and financial challenges. The project’s mission is to improve the vocational skills of interpreters.
