One of our favorite times of year is back — the annual Magic Feet Fundraiser and Karaoke Evening!

We can’t wait to share this incredible evening full of fun with you. Established many years ago by Clinical Psychology students, this event raises funds for the Magic Feet Scholarship, which provides $500 to students who would otherwise be unable to attend Fielding sessions due to financial barriers. Attending these sessions is a vital part of a student’s journey, costing approximately $1,800 per session. Thanks to the generosity of our Fielding community — students, faculty, staff, and alums — the scholarship has made it possible for more students to participate in these essential experiences.

Magic FeetYou’ll enjoy a non-host bar, light refreshments, karaoke, raffle prizes, and a silent auction. There will also be an exciting competition where students from different regions will create themed baskets representing their ProSem, competing for the titles of Most Creative and Highest Fundraiser. The winning ProSem will be awarded a trophy!

In 2024, we surpassed our fundraising goal, raising over $6,000, a new record for the Magic Feet Scholarship! With your help, we can break that record and support more students.

Can’t attend in person? You can still make a meaningful contribution by donating online or mailing in a donation on behalf of your favorite ProSem. Every gift helps, and 100% of the funds raised will go directly to support the scholarship.

About the Author: Marlen Bautista

Marlen Bautista, a recent first-generation graduate from UC Berkeley, majored in Public Health and was the recipient of various scholarships that fully funded her undergraduate education, including opportunities to study abroad in Paris, France, and Florence, Italy. Inspired by her journey, Marlen is dedicated to giving back to students from all backgrounds, regardless of socio-economic status, by serving as an Engagement Ambassador at UC Berkeley, where she shares her story of how donors made her educational dreams a reality. Now, as the Development Manager of Donor Experience at Fielding Graduate University, Marlen continues to pursue her passion for storytelling, ensuring that adult learners can pursue advanced degrees without the financial burden.
