Ethnography Salon: Excavating Stories of Community Trauma for the Greater Good. In this workshop, associated with her new book, Transforming Trauma through Social Change – A Guide for Educators, Dr. Theresa Southam will guide participants in accessing "trauma wisdom." This wisdom evolves as individuals and communities engage in the ongoing process of resistance. Using a liberating structure called "9 Whys," we will explore which stories emerge and which do not during or after a community trauma. Working in pairs, we will delve deeper into stories that might hold potential for the common good but are somehow left untold. The American Psychological Association held its annual convention virtually and in-person on August 3-6, 2022 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Four Fielding School of Psychology students were recognized with APA Research Awards.

Fielding EdD doctoral student and STEM Educator, Craig Young, was nominated recently for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST).
Fielding Doctoral Student, Donna Richemond Appointed Montgomery County’s New Chief of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Northwestern University’s Pritzker School of Law presented Dr. Brian L. Cutler with the Center on Wrongful Convictions’ 2021 Jane Beber Abramson Award. Dr. Cutler is the director of Fielding's Media Psychology programs.

Fielding Graduate University’s Associate Provost for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment Alma Boutin-Martinez Ph.D., provided a closing keynote presentation with Laurie E. Korte Ph.D., and Anthony Valdez MAEd from Learning Pool, on Fielding’s Master’s in Organization Development and Leadership program (MA-OD&L) on September 1st at the Association for Talent Development (ATD) Conference in Salt Lake City.
