Brittnie Pemberton, a student in Fielding Graduate University’s Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program
We are proud to share that Brittnie Pemberton, a student in Fielding Graduate University’s Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program, has been named a recipient of the California Behavioral Health Scholarship Program (BHSP) award. This prestigious and highly competitive scholarship recognizes emerging behavioral health professionals committed to serving underserved communities across the state.
Administered by the California Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI), the BHSP is designed to address the growing need for licensed behavioral health providers in California. Award recipients must commit to a 12-month service requirement, delivering direct behavioral health care to populations in high-need regions.
Brittnie has been awarded an impressive $25,000 to support her doctoral education—an investment that reflects both her academic excellence and her dedication to public service. Her recognition marks a milestone for Fielding, as she may be among the first students in our community to receive this award.
This honor not only celebrates Brittnie’s accomplishments but also highlights Fielding’s continued role in training the next generation of socially responsive and community-focused psychologists. We look forward to the impact Brittnie will make through her clinical work and advocacy.
