Jean-Pierre Isbouts Endowed Fund
for Lifelong Learning
Thanks to the generosity of Fielding alum Pauline J. Albert, Ph.D.’09, the endowment honors Faculty Emeritus Jean-Pierre Isbouts, D. Litt., and supports lifelong learning.
The first goal of the endowment is to support experiential learning through travel. Another goal is to invest in alumni research. The endowment’s resources will allow alums to publish their research by offering a matching grant. Through the endowment’s program, Dr. Isbouts offers annual writing workshops to alumni and students on how to turn a dissertation into a book.
Dr. Isbouts is a best-selling author, historian, and award-winning filmmaker. His 2006 book, The Biblical World, became an international bestseller. His most recent work, Ultimate Visual History of the World, published by National Geographic, is already a global success. Dr. Isbouts’ lectures with the Teaching Company are top-rated.

HOW THE TRAVEL PROGRAM WORKS
Dr. Isbouts is a guest lecturer on each tour. He custom-designs every itinerary. Thanks to his expertise, every trip includes unique site visits not visited by most tourists and cultural and culinary experiences.
Fielding alumni, faculty, students, and staff will enjoy spending time with President Rogers and trustees who also go on the trip.
Every group is limited to 24 participants.

Every trip includes the Get to Know Your Fellow Travelers virtual calls, an overview of the program, and recommended reading.
