Fielding Faculty Annabelle Nelson, PhD, presented research for the third year at The Qualitative Report (TQR) 16th Annual Conference,  Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Annabelle Nelson, Ph.D. This year Annabelle’s research examined the mental imagery of archetypes and emotions in creating space in the inner world for transformation.  Her participants reported that this type of imagery created peace, calm and greater awareness.  Even though the imaginal process was sometimes playful as in seeing the archetype of Goofy, or deep in seeing a Nordic goddess, or bittersweet in seeing a father who had passed, the experience prompted resolution of difficult emotions.
