Transforming Trauma Through Social Change
In this workshop, associated with her new book, Transforming Trauma through Social Change – A Guide for Educators, Dr. Theresa Southam will guide participants in accessing “trauma wisdom.” This wisdom evolves as individuals and communities engage in the ongoing process of resistance. Using a liberating structure called “9 Whys,” we will explore which stories emerge and which do not during or after a community trauma. Working in pairs, we will delve deeper into stories that might hold potential for the common good but are somehow left untold. Subscribe to Theresa’s post-publishing writings about trauma transformation on her Substack @socialchangeeducation.
