The Fielding community is invited to attend the Black Student Association’s “Cultural Trauma: Breaking the Psychological Chains Using an African-Centered Approach” on June 17, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. PT | 7:30 p.m. ET. BSA is hosting this event at a time in history when there is a desire to rewrite and, in some cases, erase Black history, it is crucial to recognize the freedom of our ancestors. Join the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for the 2024 Juneteenth Celebration event on Tuesday, June 18 at 8 a.m. PT | 11 a.m. ET. Speaker Dr. Lenneal Henderson will host a special presentation entitled, “Juneteenth and Beyond: Celebrating Three Great Moments in Civil Rights.” Dr. Henderson will share insights regarding the three most decisive moments in Civil Rights history: Juneteenth, Brown V. Board of Education (1954), and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Fielding’s offices will be closed on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
