The second annual Fielding Graduate University Qualitative Research Conference is a public-facing, free, daylong training featuring 5 leaders developing new theoretical or methodological approaches in qualitative methodology. Planned topic areas will include talks from several leaders in key qualitative methodologies: constructivist grounded theory (per Heidi Levitt), narrative research (Ruthellen Josselson), phenomenology (Nisha Gupta), and thematic analysis (Virginia Braun), and intersectional qualitative research (Jennifer Esposito). This webinar will be made open to those within and outside of Fielding, hosted by the Bay Area Professional Development Seminar (PDS) in the Clinical Psychology program on behalf of core faculty Lauren Mizock, PhD.

The conference is on Feb 22, 2025 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. PT | 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET. This conference is free.

About the Author: Lauren Mizock

Lauren Mizock, PhD, is core faculty in the Clinical Psychology PhD Program at Fielding Graduate University. Lauren is a licensed clinical psychologist in California, Colorado, and Massachusetts. Lauren is also on the Executive Committee of the Society for the Psychology of Women (Division 35) of the American Psychological Association (APA). Lauren received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Suffolk University and completed her predoctoral internship at the Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology at Boston Medical Center. Areas of expertise include culturally relevant clinical practice, teaching, and research; gender and mental health; mental illness and recovery.
