Vice President of Inclusive Excellence and Reflective Engagement
Allison Davis White Eyes, Ph.D, serves as Fielding’s Vice President of Inclusive Excellence and Reflective Engagement, and Affiliate Faculty in the School of Leadership Studies, working with the president and the greater Fielding community to advance and engage Fielding Graduate University as an equity serving institution committed to inclusive excellence. The aim of the Office of Inclusive Excellence and Reflective Engagement is to support Fielding’s academic mission by:
Fostering coordination and collaboration across the University in removing barriers to access and success. The Office of the Vice President leads efforts to facilitate close collaboration among the diverse components of the University, fostering both efficiency and innovation throughout.
Promoting a culture of inclusive excellence in learning, teaching, and research across the University, the Office of the Vice President of Inclusive Excellence and Reflective Engagement, in collaboration with the Global Inclusion Council, lead institution-wide efforts to engage the collective diversity of the Fielding community in transformative change leading to equitable outcomes. By doing so, we build a community of scholars and practitioners who share in the ideals of discovery, learning, and engagement that is built on diverse lived experiences, perspectives, and strategies.
The Vice President of Inclusive Excellence and Reflective Engagement ensures that the University has the cultural resilience, appreciative curiosity, and intellectual humility to engage with the complex issues of systemic oppression by advancing knowledge and identifying clearly defined actions for systems change. In so doing, the Office of Inclusive Excellence and Reflective Engagement works closely with the University’s leadership and the wider Fielding community to ensure that the University remains committed to its core values of social justice, transformational learning, academic excellence, community, diversity, and learner-centered education.
