Fielding Graduate University is proud to spotlight Dr. Don Grant, Ph.D., a distinguished alum of the Media Psychology program, for his groundbreaking work at the intersection of media, mental health, and youth development.handbook of children and screens

Dr. Grant was recently invited by the National Association for Behavioral Healthcare (NABH) to serve as the sole content creator for the new “Safe Connections” campaign, a dynamic, evolving initiative housed within NABH’s Youth Services Committee. This online resource is designed to support mental health professionals, caregivers, and youth organizations with up-to-date information and tools to promote digital safety and emotional well-being. As part of this role, Dr. Grant will produce original content quarterly, in addition to curating essential resources and research for the platform.

Further amplifying his impact, Dr. Grant recently contributed as Section Leader, Chapter Editor, and Co-Author to the newly released Handbook of Children and Screens: Digital Media, Development, and Well-Being from Birth Through Adolescence—a landmark publication supported by Children and Screens: Institute of Digital Media and Child Development. This comprehensive, open-access handbook features contributions from over 390 global experts and offers vital, research-driven guidance for clinicians, educators, and caregivers navigating today’s digital landscape.
