Jennifer Weniger, Ph.D.
Biography
Dr. Weniger has over twenty five years experience working in behavioral healthcare and has held multiple faculty positions in psychiatry, psychology and professional counseling.
Dr. Weniger holds a Ph.D. in psychology from Northcentral University, a master’s degree in marriage and family counseling from the Adler School of Psychology, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from California Polytechnic University. Currently, she has a generalist private practice and holds several adjunct faculty positions. Dr. Weniger was the Director of Clinical Training at Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center and was on faculty with the School of Medicine Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship program and held an interdisciplinary faculty position with the psychology and marriage and family therapy programs. Dr. Weniger is a licensed psychologist in CA, CO and TX. The early focus of her career was working with at risk youth in group homes and residential treatment centers. She has experience working at all levels of care in behavioral healthcare. Dr. Weniger’s areas of research includes pediatric suicide assessment and prevention, diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders, and Internet based CBT. Her community and professional activities have focused on destigmatizing mental illness and increasing utilization of mental health services for at risk youth populations.
