Welcome to Fielding’s 2024 Session in Washington D.C.
Event Registration Deadline is May 1st.
For your convenience and comfort, the following two spaces will be available Sunday through Thursday, the Writing Room and the Wellbeing Space.
In addition, graduate program advisors will be available for in-person, 30-minute academic advising meetings by appointment. Advising appointments are an excellent opportunity to review your progress toward degree completion and make a plan for future term registration. Students registered for session will be sent more information and links to schedule appointments in advance of the session.

Please enjoy this designated community space to work on writing and get things done! Join us on July 10 in this room for the writing retreat with coaches available to help answer your questions.
Wellbeing Space
All day. All week (Sun – Thu)
Throughout the week, please enjoy a quiet space for reflection, meditation, prayer, journaling, yoga practice and peace. When you need to slow down or a consistent place to process the day, please find rest in the well-being space. Please also join us here July 8 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. for our Sound Bath experience.

Fielding’s 50th Anniversary: Film Screening of “The Voices of Fielding” & Celebration Reception
5:30–7:30 p.m.
The Voices of Fielding” film (22 min) features graduates from the Navajo Nation, representatives from the Black Student Association, and a broad cross‐section of students and alums from all schools at Fielding. The event will conclude with a brief discussion with the film’s director, Jean‐Pierre Isbouts, D. Litt., and Fielding President Katrina S. Rogers, PhD. Welcome reception will be hosted by Provost Wendi S. Williams, Ph.D.

Sound Bath Experience with Dante Baker
6:30-7:30 p.m.
Join us for an immersive journey as a Sound Healing Practitioner provides therapeutic frequencies for stress relief, relaxation, and good energy. This meditative journey may use crystal bowls, gongs, and other instruments to create waves of soothing vibrations to cleanse the mind, body, and spirit.

Writing Retreat
Join us for a day of writing in community with our writing coaches. Get additional support while working on your writing projects and dissertations. Sign up for a 15 to 30 minute in-person meeting with School of Psychology’s Kari Lannon or a virtual meeting with SLS writing coach Janet Toliver. To reserve your spot and time, please email WritingCoaches@fielding.edu and specify your program. Zoom links will be sent for virtual consultations.

Culture, Arts & Social Change (excursion)

During this all-day excursion, focused on culture, arts, and social change, we will visit three art and social justice locations that deliberately challenge injustices, biases, and inequities based on race, gendered identity, age, and other deeply embedded biases. These include Multiplicity: Blackness in Contemporary American Collage, at The Phillips Collection; Busboys and Poets; and the National Museum of Women and the Arts.
